think[box] Prototyping Training - 3D Scanning (Artec Leo)

Come explore 3D scanning with the Artec Leo, a scanner that renders color!

Take a cool scan of a 3D printed object and bring the file home with you! In this workshop, you will be led by a Student Technician through basic 3D scanning setup, Artec Leo settings, and 3D scanned model clean up. This training class is a resource for anyone looking to use the Artec Leo for the first time. It is great for those wanting to explore 3D scanning in a workshop-style format led by an awesome Student Technician Instructor.

You will learn: 

• The capabilities and limitations of our Artec Leo.
• A beginner's overview of Artec Studio 16, with a focus on Autopilot settings.
• How to navigate the Artec Leo.
• What to look for when using the Artec Leo, as well as tips and tricks for troubleshooting common issues.

 
Important Notes:

• All participants will make an instructor-led project. If your goal is to complete a personal print or project, this training teaches skills that support that goal, but will not provide time or support for personal projects.
• Come in any time during our open hours to work on personal projects. Student Technicians are available during those times to help. Schedule a consultation for projects that need additional support. 
• This training is currently mandatory to use the Artec Leo. If you would just like to jump right in to start 3D scanning and do not need color retention, you may use our ROMER 7X 3D scanner instead. You can use our online tutorials for that and come into think[box] any time.

Training is open and free for participants ages 8+. Participants 8-13 must complete training with an accompanying adult. 

This class may be cancelled if it does not reach its minimum required amount.
