Join the Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship at the Kelvin Smith Library to celebrate GIS Day! An annual event promoting geographic information systems (GIS) and the research that it supports. GIS is used across many disciplines and industries to drive innovative research and gather, analyze and visualize geographic data to answer research questions and solve real-world problems.

This year’s GIS Day will feature a StoryMaps workshop (12:30 - 1:30) introducing users to an easy workflow to create webpages with maps, images, videos, data, and more. StoryMaps lets you quickly build custom narratives and interactive data visualizations to tell your research stories your way.

As always GIS Day will also include some interactive Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality stations for users to explore.

Snacks and beverages will be provided!
