Erin Benay, associate professor of early modern art and inaugural Distinguished Scholar in the Public Humanities, will deliver a lecture titled From Prints to Power: Karamu House and the Black Art Market in Cleveland on April 9, at the Cleveland Public Library, exploring the overlooked role of Karamu House’s Graphic Arts Workshop in the Black Arts Movement and its lasting impact on Cleveland’s Black art and collecting scene.
