Please review the listed projects for details, dress suggestions, meeting times & locations and directions for completing your registration. Projects take place rain or shine. Spots are filled on a first come, first serve basis. If there is a waitlist, please show up to CCEL for possible no shows.

8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
The Hunger Network has been working to end hunger and build a healthier communities for over 25 years. Volunteer at the new neighborhood pantry! Volunteers are needed to help visitors shop and check out.
8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
The Father Michael Wittman Ozanam Center at St. Philomena Church in East Cleveland provides access to food and clothing to those in need. The Center is open every Saturday and relies solely on the help of volunteers. Volunteers are needed to register and check in & out clients, offer hospitality, sort and hang clothing, pack grocery bags, and more.
8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
MedWish collects and delivers medical supplies to those providing medical care in developing countries. Volunteers will help sort materials into categorized bins for future shipments.
8:45 AM – 12:00 PM
The mission of the Cleveland Kids' Book Bank is to foster literacy and a love of reading by providing free books to children in need. Volunteers are needed to sort and pack the books by reading level so that partner sites can distribute them accordingly.
8:45 AM – 1:00 PM
Shoes and Clothes for Kids' goal is to improve K-8 school attendance by eliminating lack of appropriate clothing, shoes, and school supplies as barriers. Volunteers will be counting, organizing, and sorting inventory. Individuals will also assist with fulfilling on-line orders and stuffing uniform packages. Volunteers will be working in the warehouse and should dress appropriately, layers are recommended. Closed-toed shoes are strictly required. Students under 18 will need a parent/guardian signature on the waiver to participate.
11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Kids Against Hunger is a student organization at CWRU whose mission is to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the USA and throughout the world. KAH works with local partners in Cleveland to pack and distribute highly nutritious, vitamin-fortified soy-rice casserole. Help with KAH's next big food packing event! Set-up volunteers will help unload the meals from the truck, set-up tables, and help get the room ready for the packaging event. Some heavy lifting may be required. Volunteers on the assembly line will help with a variety of tasks associated with packaging the meals. Volunteers will go directly to the Fribley Multipurpose Room at the start of the shift to participate in the project.

12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Cozy up with a winter act of kindness. Come make blankets for the unhoused to keep them warm during the long winter months. The blankets will be donated to Labre Homeless Outreach Program. Labre is a student organization that serves the unhoused population of Greater Cleveland in a variety of ways, from providing hot meals to offering blankets, clothing, and toiletry items.
5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Help sort, prepare, box, and repack food to be distributed to local food pantries, hunger centers, and shelters to serve families in need.
10:50 AM – 1:30 PM
Trinity Cathedral created the lunch program, A Place at the Table, to serve those in need in the Cleveland downtown area, and this program has never missed serving a Sunday lunch in nearly 40 years.  A Place at the Table is the only lunch program that serves those in need on Sunday afternoons in the downtown area.  Volunteers will assist in serving lunch to guests.

Labre Homeless Outreach Ministry strives to build relationships with unhoused members of the Cleveland community, by providing food and clothing and by simply getting to know them. As part of the National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week, donate to the Case Labre homeless outreach clothing drive.
Drop-off locations; Wade, Fribley, CCEL, CWRU Public Safety Office, and One to One Fitness.
