L.O.V.E Art Show X Un[box] think[box] Collab: Animate A Cardboard Yoshi with Strawbees!

Jump into think[box] this weekend and join us as we Celebrate the L.O.V.E Art Show by local Cleveland artist, iAmLilMike. In addition to showcasing his amazing works, think[box] will also be hosting an un[box] activity in collaboration with the L.O.V.E Art Show!

Step into floor 2 where our Program assistants will guide visitors in making animated cardboard dinos modeled after Yoshi, Marios trusty dinosaur steed from the Super Mario Brothers video game! This project uses strawbees, a die cut construction set for hands on stem learning that uses straws and simple shapes to create complex designs! All materials will be provided, including pre-cut templates that were made using our Epilog Laser Cutters. 

Located on the Third Floor, our Epilog Laser Cutters use the power and precision of lasers to cut and engrave a variety of materials including wood, acrylic, and in this cardboard! Our student technicians are also always happy to help with any step in this process. 

Registration
We encourage EVERYONE to participate in this event. However, if you are not a CWRU Student, Staff or Faculty, please fill out a Member Registration Form before the event. If you are bringing a minor (under 18 years old) please have a parent fill out a Minor Registration Form before attending the event.

Directions and Parking 

Please park in the Veale Parking Garage (Lot 53) located at 2158 Adelbert Road near the wind turbine. Parking rate for the Veale Parking Garage are avaialble on the Parkopedia web page.

After parking, walk to the entrance of the Veale Athletic Center. Go into Veale and speak with the individual at the front desk for assistance in reaching think[box]. Please refer to the walking map below for more information.
