In this session you will learn about the best practices regarding mentoring in any setting. We will discuss the benefits of mentoring and various mentoring formats. We will look at characteristics of a good mentor and a good mentee. Practical tips will be offered to make your mentoring successful including how to successfully find a mentor/mentee and choose a mentor/mentee along with other resources.
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Hike the fabulous trails of Rocky River with spectacular views of the river and cliffs.
Time: 6pm
Where to meet: Meet outside of the Rocky River Reservation Nature Center (24000 Valley Parkway, North Olmsted)
Wear your hiking shoes and proper hiking apparel, and be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen.
12:30 PM – 2:00 PM
Join us for a HISTORY campus tour. Dr. Janice Gerda has conducted extensive primary source research on the history and beauty of CWRU's campus. Please meet Drs. Janice Gerda and Jody KC at Tomlinson Hall where we will begin the tour promptly at 12:30. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.

Join your fellow postdocs for a fun night at the Jolly Scholar for dinner! The PDA will supply appetizers.
