Michael D. Snediker reads from his most recent book of poems, Jones Very (Ornithopter Press) and works-in-progress.

Michael D. Snediker is the author of Jones Very (Ornithopter Press), The New York Editions (Fordham University Press, Poets Out Loud Prize), and The Apartment of Tragic Appliances (punctum books, Lambda Finalist for Best Gay Poetry), as well as Contingent Figure: Chronic Pain & Queer Embodiment (U.Minnesota Press) and Queer Optimism: Lyric Personhood & Other Felicitous Persuasions (U.Minnesota Press). His poems have recently appeared in journals including Brooklyn Rail, The Drift, Lana Turner, and VOLT, and his recent criticism has appeared or is forthcoming in journals including differences and Utopian Studies. He’s presently writing about landscape as ascesis in Thoreau and Lauren Berlant, and is Professor of American Literature & Poetics at the University of Houston.
