Innovating Anesthesia and Leadership

Join us on Monday, May 12 as part of the Case Western Reserve University Entrepreneurship Speaker Series in parternership with the Marian K. Shaughnessy Nurse Leadership Academy for a roundtable discussion with Jeffrey Molter, CRNA (MSN '00), Co-Founder at Western Reserve Anesthesia Education.

Jeff Molter has been a Registered Nurse for 32 years and a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, or CRNA for 25 years. Mr Molter was born and raised in northeast Ohio. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University where he earned his BSN. After working for several years in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at University Hospitals of Cleveland. He attended Case Western Reserve Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing where he earned his MSN with a focus in Nurse Anesthesiology. Mr Molter began his CRNA career at Mt Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland and has since worked in many hospitals and surgery centers throughout Ohio. Mr. Molter currently practices today in Lima, Ohio at the Institute of Orthopedic Surgery.

Mr. Molter served his state professional organization, The Ohio State Association of Nurse Anesthetists as a board member from 2012-2018, and also as President in 2017. In 2020, Mr. Molter began serving his national professional organization, The American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA). He has served as a board member, Treasurer, Vice President and is currently the President Elect and will take office as President in August of this year. Mr. Molter enjoyed the business side of anesthesia and earned his MBA in 2011 from Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio. Along with his business partner Scott Urigel CRNA; they formed Western Reserve Anesthesia Education where they educated and taught hands on Ultrasound guided workshops for physicians and CRNAs. This eventually led to them producing the first Ultrasound guided Nerve Block app for iPhone and android which is known as Block Buddy Pro. Jeff enjoys traveling and speaking at state nurse Anesthesiology meetings where he covers topics such as leadership, anesthesia billing, advocacy, government relations and regional anesthesia.
