University Health and Counseling Services will begin offering Mental Health First Aid—an evidence-based training program this fall led by certified trainers from CWRU. Mental Health First aid prepares participants to recognize warning signs of mental health challenges, offer compassionate initial support, and guide individuals toward appropriate campus or community resources The curriculum covers common conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, and substance use, and emphasizes non‑judgmental listening, risk awareness, and referral steps.
Please note that this training will be hosted over the course of four days (November 25th, December 2nd, 9th, and 16th from 10am - 11:30am all four days, via Zoom)
