Join Siegal Lifelong Learning for this two part program with Kelly Fishman, EdD, Regional Director, Anti-Defamation League, and
Harriette Watford Lowenthal, MEd, Certified Senior Facilitator, Anti-Defamation League

Commemorating the rich and complex history of Black–Jewish relations, this course traces the journey of solidarity, rupture, and renewal between the two communities. From 19th century abolitionist alliances to the shared courage of Freedom Summer and Selma, we will explore pivotal moments of collaboration and conflict that shaped American social justice movements. Next, we will examine how these legacies inform today’s joint responses to antisemitism and anti-Black racism, as well as contemporary cultural and civic initiatives that seek to rebuild trust and common purpose. Through dialogue and reflection, participants will envision the next chapter in this enduring coalition for justice.

This program is in collaboration with the Anti-Defamation League
