Details
Make a decal to heat press onto a canvas bag. In this workshop, you will be led through an introduction to basic digital file design, operating a vinyl cutter, and heat pressing your design onto fabric. It is great for those wanting to explore vinyl cutting in a workshop-style format lead by an awesome Student Technician Instructor.
You will learn:
- The capabilities and limitations of our Roland GX-24 vinyl cutter.
- A beginner's overview of Corel Draw, with a focus on designing for vinyl cutting success.
- How to navigate CutStudio to choose the correct settings for cutting.
- How to set up the vinyl cutter.
- What to look for when vinyl cutting, as well as tips and tricks for troubleshooting common issues.
- How to operate our heat press
Important Notes:
- All participants will make an instructor-lead project. If your goal is to complete a personal print or project, this training teaches skills that support that goal, but will not provide time or support for personal projects.
- Come in any time during our open hours to work on personal projects. Student Technicians are avalable during those times to help. Schedule a consultation for projects that need additional support.
- This training is not mandatory for using the vinyl cutters. You can jump right in to vinyl cutting with our Roland GX-24 by following our online tutorials.
This class may be cancelled if it does not reach it's minimum required amount.
