Intro to Linoleum Block Printing with Zygote Press

Bring an idea you’re excited about, and we’ll help you turn it into a bold, eye-catching print.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to make your own linoleum (or “lino”) prints, a form of relief printing where you carve a design into a soft linoleum block, roll it with ink, and then press it onto paper to create a bold, graphic image.

Note: this is a two-session workshop. During the first session, Zygote instructors will demonstrate the carving process and help you get started on your own design. In session two, you’ll finish carving and then roll up your sleeves to hand-print your masterpiece using a tabletop press. Participants will leave with a completed lino-block and several prints. No experience needed - just bring your creativity!
