This course will be aimed at those individuals who have an interest in learning basic principles of computer-aided design and its practical applications. Users taking this course will get a comprehensive overview of the CAD software SolidWorks and will then learn how to bring their CAD parts into reality using the 3D printing splicing software Cura. Once the software has been taught, users will then get hands on experience operating think[box]’s Ultimaker 3D printers. The course will assume a design approach to teach these important tools of innovation with users designing their very own guitar tooling. The two tools that will be designed and manufactured in the class will be first a fret rocker and second, a radius gauge. Once Users’ tools have finished printing, they will then learn how to use these tools by performing a traditional guitar setup.
