Details

This course is for users who are interested in electronics and its applications to sound. Users taking this course will learn basic principles of constructing and designing circuitry as well as best practices for circuit prototyping. Additionally, users will learn how to apply different circuit board components to get a desired sound or musical effect. This will be a design-oriented course wherein users will first prototype an audio circuit on a breadboard. Following the completion of the breadboard circuit, users will then analyze their work with an oscilloscope as well as plugging in an instrument to test sound quality. From here, students will then take their prototype and create a final product; namely a soldered circuit board in an enclosure.
