Mental Health First Aid

University Health and Counseling Services will begin offering Mental Health First Aid—an evidence-based training program this fall led by certified trainers from CWRU. Mental Health First aid prepares participants to recognize warning signs of mental health challenges, offer compassionate initial support, and guide individuals toward appropriate campus or community resources The curriculum covers common conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, and substance use, and emphasizes non‑judgmental listening, risk awareness, and referral steps.

Please note that this training will be hosted over the source of two days (November 18th and 20th from 11am - 4pm both days, in-person) with full participation expected on both days.
