Join us on August 19 at 2 p.m. via Zoom for a Veale Skills Lab Workshop on Marketing Your Project; Marketing Yourself.

So, your summer project/externship/micro-internship is over (or nearly over) and you’re looking ahead to the fall recruiting season.  Having a great experience is one thing; conveying the value of that experience to a potential employer is quite another.  Where do you start?

In this workshop, we’ll show you how to get a lot of mileage out of your relatively short experience by focusing on what’s important to prospective employers and emphasizing your impact—both on a resume and in conversation.  Using sample student resumes (willingly provided), we’ll teach you how to craft concise, specific, and impactful bullet points for your resume and frame your experience to suit whatever position you’re seeking.

This workshop will be taught by Maggie Smith, Director of Employer Development, Weatherhead School and Drew Poppleton, Director, Post-Graduate Planning and Experiential Education.

We will also be broadcasting this roundtable and future roundtables to LinkedIn Live on CWRU Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship's LinkedIn page on August 19 at 2 p.m.
