Join us on June 3 at 1:00 pm via Zoom as part of the Case Western Reserve University Entrepreneurship Alumni Series for a Roundtable Discussion with William H. Lewis ('96), Chairman & CEO, Insmed. He will discuss his career journey from getting his MBA and JD at CWRU to becoming a CEO, his experiences in entrepreneurship, and how the COVID-19 crisis impacts the pharmaceutical industry and the advancement of new treatments in medicine.

Lewis has over 20 years of executive experience and a history of success in the pharmaceutical and finance industries in both the US and internationally. He co-founded Aegerion Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company, and served as its President and COO. In 2012, Lewis joined Insmed, a global biopharmaceutical company that develops and brings to market therapies for patients with serious and rare diseases, where he serves as CEO and Chairman.

This conversation will be facilitated by Case Western Reserve University student Aakash Shah ('21), who is pursuing his BS in economics.

Will joined Insmed in 2012 as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the board of directors. He became chairman of the board of directors in November 2018. Will is the former Co-Founder, President, and Chief Financial Officer of Aegerion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: AEGR), and previously spent more than 10 years working in investment banking in the U.S. and Europe. He also previously worked for the U.S. government. Will holds a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Oberlin College as well as a Master of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor with Honors from Case Western Reserve University.
