Join us on July 29 at 1:00 pm via Zoom as part of the Case Western Reserve University Entrepreneurship Series for a Roundtable Discussion with Jon Dolin (LAW '98, MGT '98), CEO, Barefoot Coffee. He will discuss his career journey from obtaining his JD and MBA at CWRU to becoming a CEO, his experience with entrepreneurship, and how COVID-19 impacts the food and beverage industry.

Since 2012, Dolin and his wife, Jillian, have owned and operated Barefoot Coffee Roasters, one of the top boutique specialty coffee roasting companies and an early adopter of direct trade sourcing. He is also the managing partner at JD Associates II, a diversified investment fund. Before joining Barefoot Coffee, Dolin co-founded Sonesta Entertainment, a full service entertainment, marketing, production and management firm.

This conversation will be facilitated by Case Western Reserve University student Neha Praseed (CWR '23), who is pursuing her BS in Management and Economics.

Jon Dolin has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, finance, manufacturing, management, strategy, real estate and deal making. Since 2012, he and his wife Jillian have owned/operated Barefoot Coffee Roasters, one of the top boutique specialty coffee roasting companies and an early adopter of direct trade sourcing. During their ownership, Barefoot has added cafes, expanded its wholesale operations and launched an award-winning bottled cold brew coffee.

Prior to Barefoot, Jon co-founded Santa Monica-based Sonesta Entertainment, a full service entertainment marketing, production and management company. Prior to that, Jon was an associate in the Consumer Investment Banking group at Prudential Securities’ New York City headquarters.

In the 2000s, Jon sat on the boards of Barrow Brand LLC and 3D Real Estate Partners. Currently, Jon is the managing partner of JD Associates II, which invests in private equity and real estate deals.

Jon obtained a JD with a concentration in Business Law and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Case Western Reserve University, and a BS in Communications from Boston University.
