The Mandel School will be testing out a new performance evaluation system for the University during the annual review season. If you are a staff member* or you supervise staff, come to an information session on the new performance review system Friday, April 26, 2019 at 3 p.m. in Mandel Center 115. A Zoom session is also available. In addition, Melissa Van will be meeting with each department in April and May to discuss the changes in more depth. *This change does not affect Research Associates or Senior Research Associates.
President Barbara Snyder invites you to nominate non-faculty CWRU staff members for the President's Award for Distinguished Service and the Robin Kramer Award. The President's Award honors up to three staff members whose outstanding contributions to our campus culture have a transformational effect on university colleagues, students, or visitors. The honoree(s) will receive a $1,000 cash award. The Robin Kramer Award honors a staff member whose volunteer service to the campus community has had significant impact on colleagues, students, or visitors and the honoree will receive a $500 cash award. The recipient(s) will be recognized at the Staff Service Awards Luncheon in June. Click here for more information on nominations and criteria. Nominations are due by April 26, 2019 and can be submitted through an online form.
Please join the Mandel School in thanking our student employees for the excellent work they do! We recognize that many students balance complex academic and work responsibilities and we thank them for their efforts. Thank you!
Make a great day even more special for our students by helping to set up for and staff this year's Commencement. Assistance is needed during normal business hours and on graduation weekend (Commencement is Sunday, May 19, 2019). Click here for more information and to sign up. Staff should discuss particpation with their supervisors before signing up; non-exempt staff and their supervisors must work out how any additional hours can be offset as flextime during the same business week (a business week is Sunday through Saturday). Please reach Melissa Van with any questions about flextime or otherwise accommodating Commencement volunteering.
See you in the Noble Commons tomorrow, Tuesday, April 16, 2019, from 12 - 2 p.m. Stop by and enter a bid (or several!) during that time.
