Career Year is a 12-month career development program for second-year students, with priority for underrepresented minority and first-generation college students. The deadline to apply is Friday, Sept. 16.
The program, which is managed by Post-Graduate Planning and Experiential Education, provides workshops, small group projects and other exciting activities to get you thinking about and taking action on your career. Through the program, you will connect with employers and alumni to help build strategies to secure a summer internship while learning about yourself - your personality, skills, interests, and values, and learning about different industries and career interest areas.
Learn more about Career Year and apply on the Post-Graduate Planning and Experiential Education website.
Diversity Overnight Survey
Diversity Overnight was an event open to prospective seniors in high school from underrepresented backgrounds where they visited CWRU campus and get a feel of student life. The event included flights, meals while on campus, shuttles, and overnight with a current student. The current student would serve as the prospective student's host from Sunday to Monday. In the past, this event was held both in October and November.
We would like to help the Admissions Department gauge how comfortable students are in housing prospective students to determine whether to have a Diversity Overnight this semester. Please fill out this anonymous quick survey to let us know!
Paid Research Study; “MeToo: Memory, Sexual Assault, and Trauma”
Do you identify as a woman? If so, we need your help to understand and destigmatize the narratives of sexual assault survivors.
We are looking for self-identified women at CWRU (undergraduate, graduate, & professional students) to participate in a longitudinal study. We are studying memory processing in college-aged women who have or have not experienced unwanted sexual encounters.
If you are interested in participating or more information, please contact the study team at the PTSD Research and Treatment Program in the Department of Psychological Sciences:
