Meet the Cleveland Small Business Owners Turning Ambition Into Action
Join us on Wednesday, May 7 for the Cleveland Small Business Impact Program Showcase, where six inspiring entrepreneurs will pitch their businesses to a panel of judges and a live audience for a chance to win up to $20,000 in funding.
This is more than a competition—it’s a celebration of hard work, growth, and community. These business owners have spent 12 weeks refining their strategies, building their brands, and preparing to grow. Now, it’s time to cheer them on.
Session Directors have a unique opportunity to contribute to conference content and connect with fellow students and professionals in their areas of interest. Students who will be enrolled in their MBA program as of October 2025 will be given priority for Session Director positions.
Students that are selected will develop the session's framework and moderate the session at ROMBA.
Positions will be filled on a rolling basis and successful Session Directors should be prepared to start planning shortly after they are selected. The priority deadline to receive full consideration is May 2, 2025.

Immigration Updates
Registration, Documentation, and Changes of Address
A reminder that DHS last week began enforcing a registration requirement for all foreign nationals. Foreign nationals who received an I-94 upon entering the US are considered to be registered. In addition, DHS reminded foreign nationals that they must carry evidence of registration with them at all times, and to report any change of address within 10 days. Failure to comply can result in criminal penalties and removal from the United States. Additional information on these requirements is available on the VISA Office website at https://case.edu/visa/news.
SEVIS Terminations
As discussed in President Kaler's email on April 14, four active CWRU students have had their SEVIS records terminated by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in recent weeks. The VISA Office is checking SEVIS daily. If you are in F-1 or J-1 status with CWRU, be assured that your SEVIS record remains active through the expiration date on your I-20 unless you receive notification from the VISA Office.
