VISA Office Information

The VISA Office is open 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.  We are located in Crawford Hall, Suite 215.

On Monday, Thursday, and Friday, we have virtual chat advising available from 11am to 1pm.  Access virtual chat from our website here.

You are also welcome to contact us for an in-person, phone, or Zoom appointment.  Please email visa@case.edu to request an appointment.

Pronoun Workshop

The LGBT Center will host a workshop on pronouns Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the first-floor conference room of the Tinkham Veale University Center.

This workshop will answer the following questions: 

  • What are gender neutral and neopronouns? 
  • How do I use gender neutral and neopronouns? 
  • Why are pronouns important? 

Participants also will have an opportunity to practice using gender neutral and neopronouns through partnered activities.

Queer Craft Circle + UH&CS

 

Join Queer Craft Circle and UH&CS for making crafts, meeting people, and de-stressing after a week of classes. Regular craft supplies such as Perler beads and button-making will still be available, and you're always welcome to bring a personal project. No need to identify as LGBTQ+ to attend.

 

The event will be held on Friday, October 6 from 2:00-4:00pm in the TVUC first floor conference room.

Field Trip to Community Garden

Case Western Reserve University undergraduate and graduate students are invited to dive into the heart of sustainable farming on Monday, Oct. 9 with a field trip to the CWRU Community Garden, hosted by the Office of Multicultural Affairs. 

From 4 to 5:30 p.m., students will have the opportunity to harvest fresh produce that they’ll be able to take home, while gaining insightful knowledge about the importance and functioning of community gardens.

Flu Clinic Dates

Flu shots are available for free to all CWRU, CIA and CIM students, and CWRU faculty and staff. All participants need to bring their CWRU ID. Please wear an outfit that allows the upper arm to be easily exposed. 

The following dates are walk-in flu immunization clinics open to all CWRU, CIA and CIM students and CWRU faculty and staff. For those who'd prefer a scheduled time, appointments are available on Friday's from 9am-11:30am & 1-3:30pm startin gFriday, October 20th. Make an appointment online at myhealthconnect.case.edu.

Fall Festival at North Coast Harbor

Oct. 7, 14 and 21

Celebrate the autumn season in Cleveland by spending Saturday afternoons in Voinovich Bicentennial Park. Each Saturday will have a different theme: Flannel Funday (Oct. 7), Hay Hooray & Bright Nights (Oct. 14) and Boo Bash (Oct. 12).

The events will feature favorite seasonal food, activities, live music, games and more.  

The Oct. 7 and 21 events will run from 2 to 6 p.m., and the Oct. 14 event will run from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. to allow for Bright Nights activities.

Free Hispanic Heritage Month Concert

Oct. 14

Close out Hispanic Heritage Month with a free concert featuring Sammy DeLeon y su Orquesta Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Mandel Concert Hall at Severance Hall. The concert will begin at 7 p.m.

Hosted by WKYC’s Lydia Esparra, the concert will feature energetic Latin jazz tunes. The concert is sponsored by WKYC Studios, Cleveland Foundation, and Hispanic Roundtable.

Cleveland Monsters home opener

Oct. 20

Join the crowd as the Cleveland Monsters hockey team opens the home slate of its schedule Friday, Oct. 20, at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse against the Syracuse Crunch. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. 

Tickets start at just $10 to see the action on the ice. Discounted concession promotions will be available as part of the Monsters 1-2-3 Friday deal: soda is $1, hot dogs are $2 and beer (for those 21+) is $3. The first 7,500 fans through the door also will receive a magnet schedule.
