EPIC Task Force Recruitment

The EPIC Task Force is in search of greek members who are passionate about evoking meaningful change in the community surrounding sexual harassment. We focus on Education, Prevention, Integrity, and Community in order to equip chapters and members to support survivors in a holistic manner. Our goal is to create a culture of advocacy and competency through collaboration and participation from all members of the greek life community. As a member on this task force, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with others to be a part of change in GL culture at CWRU, help create policy development, participate in chapter discussion development, create a safer and better environment in the GL community. Ultimately, you will gain an understanding of the fundamental challenges of sexual misconduct and allow you to be proud of the organizations and community you're a part of. Questions? SMARRT: Let's Talk About Sex and Accountability, Baby

As we begin April's Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Wellness Week kick-off, let's talk about sex, consent, community responsibility, and wellness. Sexual health is intrinsically linked to a person's overall health-- physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. When we think about sexual health, it's usually focused on the medical preventive measures without consideration of the nuances of sexuality.
Join our meeting for an open conversation with a representative from the Mather Center (Sarah Ferrato) about how sexual health relates to wellness!  There will be a survey sent out beforehand/linked in the CG where people can submit questions to be asked ahead of time!

Upstander: Project Connection Presents "How to Implement Restorative Practices Into Everyday Relationships" with Jamie Greenwolf

We all want to hold those that harm others accountable, but what does that actually mean? The road to healing, accountability, and growth is a rough one, and in this dialogue we will talk about what our goals are in holding others accountable for their actions, and discuss if it is possible to maintain relationships with those people. Jamie Greenwolf will lead a dialogue answering some of those questions revolving on the concepts of restorative justice and shame on April 1st at 5pm.
