2024 GSAW Ball: Tickets on Sale
Join us for the 2024 GSAW Ball 'A Dance with Dinosaurs' on April 13th from 7pm-11:30pm at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Early bird tickets went on sale Friday (2/9). Click here or use the QR code on the poster to purchase your tickets.
Each ticket includes unlimited food and 3 drinks. All Case students are able to purchase one guest ticket in addition to their own. Dress code is creative black tie (formal through the lens of your personal comfort and style).

February Happy Hour
The GSC Happy Hour is back on Friday, Feb 23rd from 7-9pm at The Jolly Scholar! The first drink is on us for the first 50 grad students to join. PS 1. You can use your drink ticket for a milkshake instead of beer, wine, or well-liquor if drinks aren't your thing. PS 2. Drink tickets will be distributed as people join; registration in the event doesn't guarantee a drink ticket.

Call for GSC Marketing and Communication Committee Members
The Vice-Presidents of Marketing and Communication are looking for eight interested graduate and professional students to serve on a committee. All in-person committee meetings will have meals for attendees. We are looking for representation from each of the Schools at CWRU. The committee will work on two important tasks: developing a marketing campaign around the (1) upcoming RTA (public transportation) vote and (2) GSC Executive Board elections in April and May. A possible task is to develop alternative designs for the GSC logo.

Three-Minute Thesis Competition
Come cheer on the finalists in the third annual CWRU Three Minute Thesis competition on Friday, February 16, 12:40 - 3:15 PM in the Tinkham Veale University Center. The event will also be livestreamed (https://case.edu/livestream). Audience members will have a chance to vote for the People's Choice Awards! Vitromer
Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Dance continues its 2023-2024 season with Vitromer, a thesis concert featuring Master of Fine Arts candidates Joel K. Linebach and Chengyao Zhou. Vitromer features the candidates in solos, duets, and ensemble works. Performances are March 21, 22, 23 at 7:30 p.m. and March 24 at 2:30 p.m. All performances are located at Mather Dance Center on the Case Western Reserve campus. Tickets are $10 for students with ID, $12 for seniors age 60+ and CWRU personnel, and $15 for general admission. Student Public Interest Law Fellowship (SPILF)
The annual SPILF Gala is on March 1st, 7-10:00pm at the Thwing Excelsior Ballroom! Our gala is a formal event and includes a full dinner, cash bar, a silent and a live auction. Graduate Student Council Town Hall
In following our November General GSC Assembly meeting, the Graduate Student Council is happy to host a town hall event with representatives from the Office of Equity, the Office of Graduate Studies, and the Office of Student Affairs. Representatives from each of these offices will give a short presentation on what services their offices provide to graduate students, and will then answer general questions for the remainder of the event in an open Q&A. Donation Drive for the Collaborative Practice Initiative - Opioid Taskforce
Group B11 for Collaborative Practice is holding a donation drive in support of Stella Maris, one of two stand-alone detox providers in Greater Cleveland. Stella Maris provides transformational chemical dependency and mental health treatment services to anyone regardless of race, religion, gender or ability to pay. Boxes will be located in the Health Education Campus Suite 160 and the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. Join us for an engaging installment of the Profiles of Inclusive Excellence Speaker Series, a collaborative effort by the African American Alumni Association, Case Western Reserve University's Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Engagement, and the African and African American Studies minor. Delve into insightful conversations highlighting faculty and staff work and research in this virtual one-on-one interview format hosted by Dr. Heather E. Burton, Associate Vice President, and Senior Director for Faculty and Institutional Diversity. Camille Beckette Warner, PhD, is a distinguished Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Case Western Reserve University's Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. With over 25 years of experience, her expertise encompasses aging, medical sociology, intergenerational caregiving, and research methodology, focusing on social inequalities and justice throughout life's stages. Dr. Warner is deeply involved in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education and healthcare, contributing extensively to national committees and professional organizations like the American Sociological Association and the Gerontological Association of America. A respected scholar and advocate, she's presented scientific findings, led workshops on cultural diversity, and co-authored articles and book chapters on aging and healthcare. Dr. Warner's commitment extends beyond academia; she's dedicated to fostering inclusivity and belonging. As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she embodies leadership and progress in advancing diversity and equity in society.

Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research to launch Tuesday Connections
The Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research invites Case Western Reserve University students, faculty and staff to Tuesday Connections. The weekly community-building events aim to bring together members of the Health Education Campus of Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic, the wider university community and Northeast Ohio partners. Opportunities will vary each week.
