Find us on campus groups! September 15, 2025

Vice Dean Lia Logio Message

Dear Students:

So technically next Monday, September 22, 2025, is the last official day of summer, but the weather has already cooled off substantially and the leaves are just starting to turn in my neighborhood. That means we’re in full swing for Doc Opera. Everyone’s marking their calendars for the big show on Saturday, December 13th! We can’t wait to see all the Case Med talent in full force!

Please plan to attend the School of Medicine Student Research Day coming up on Thursday, October 16th from 8 AM to 4:30 PM at the Tinkham Veale University Center. It’s a great event to learn about all the discovery and innovation happening here! The Keynote Speaker is Dr. Sua Myong from Boston Children’s Hospital talking about FUS Granule Assembly Mechanism.

I will be re-starting my listening sessions with the upcoming class meetings. I look forward to hearing from you about what’s working well and where we have room for improvement. You don’t need to wait for those in person sessions…feel free to email me with any thoughts or ideas you might have. My door is always open.

Lia Logio, MD
Vice Dean, Medical Education
