RESOURCES FROM THE RESEARCH OFFICE

REMINDER: Expanding Horizons Initiative (EHI) Deadline Extended to Dec. 30 at 5 pm

The College is dedicated to supporting the research, scholarship, creative endeavors, and curricular innovation of faculty and students on many levels.

Through donor support, the Expanding Horizons Initiative (EHI) offers $250,000 of internal funding annually for faculty-led projects that are designed to facilitate important faculty initiatives, as well as impact student growth by providing hands-on experiences.

We have extended the deadline for the EHI competitions (Interdisciplinary, Disciplinary, Social and Racial Justice), originally due December 3rd, to DECEMBER 30, 2021. We urge faculty who have already started applications to complete their applications prior to Dec. 30, 2021. For faculty who have not yet started an application, please consider doing so at this time. We want to support your important work! Find more information about the open competitions here.

The deadline for the competitions due Jan. 14, 2022 (Morrell Heald Grant for Curricular Innovation and the Teaching Innovation) has not changed.

And don't forget about the OPEN and Rolling Deadline funding that exists for the faculty of the College.

  • Grant, Manuscript or Performance Pre-Review Fund (PRE)
    • Goal: To allow faculty to have a grant, scholarly work, or creative product reviewed and/or critiqued by an outside expert prior to formal submission or production.
  • Finish Line Fund
    • Goal: Help faculty bring scholarly books, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and creative works to timely and successful completion. This may include publication costs, indexing, costs of printed images, or the final needs to complete a creative work.
