Upstander: Project Connection Dialogue Series

We will be hosting Project Connection dialogues in the coming weeks to answer this very question. Click HERE to register!

Soter & Soteria: Examining Greek Guardianship on Wed 3/24

When we break down this “Risk Manager title”, it falsely limits the officer to think their main duty is to manage an ongoing rising chaos. This year the Citizenship Council wanted to help break down the RM title and shift the chapter’s culture through teaching foundations of care. We wanted to create a series that will allow chapters’ executive board to participate in a facilitated discussion where they will be challenged as leaders. Not only will they learn how to deliver the policies in a meaningful way and learn skills to lead the conversations, but also reflect on their own roles and what experiences they want their members to have. Campus Funding Support
Available year-round to all Case Western Reserve University student organizations or individuals regardless of affiliation, with the exception that IFC/PHC Greek Organizations should apply through chapter support funding instead. The purpose of these funds is to foster community, promote individual/identity-related development, and/or further positive culture changes in the CWRU community. We especially encourage applications in the areas of active bystander/upstander intervention, consent, anti-racism, and physical/mental well-being. We encourage all interested organizations to apply, and are happy to assist you in your application and in ensuring sustainable, ethical budgeting practices. The guidelines the board uses in its holistic assessment of funding applications can be found here. Previous examples of successful funding requests include: Loaves of Love Challa Bake, Leadership Conferences, TASA Night Market, Social Justice Teach-In,  Security Funding, and more! Please reach out to the IFC/PHC VP of Finance, Bridget Powers Beggs (bep50@case.edu), with any questions.

Volunteer with Cleveland Pandemic Response
Cleveland Pandemic Response is a volunteer group of leaders and community members aiming to provide mutual aid and support to NEO residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are interested in being involved in this effort, you can sign up to donate items or volunteer. If you have a car, we can always use more drivers to help with deliveries. If you would prefer to volunteer remotely, that is also an option. There is no specific time commitment!
Submit a need or sign up to donate/volunteer at https://cleveland.recovers.org/. If you want to get more involved as a volunteer on the "core team," email info@cprcle.org and say that you're interested in remote volunteering. You can also follow @cprcle on Instagram to stay updated. For more info, email Makala Wang at mlw150@case.edu.

Food Desserts Not Food Deserts
Join us for a slice of free pie and a discussion about food deserts and food insecurity! We will have a speaker from Creating Healthy Communities to learn more about food insecurity in the Cleveland area and what we can do about it. The USG Food Insecurity Working Group and Food Recovery Network will also share about the incidence of food insecurity on CWRU's campus. We will wrap up with a discussion about these issues and calls to action. For more info, contact Shweta Mohapatra (sgm68@case.edu).
