Participate in the regional CFA Stock Pick Challenge! This new event will provide opportunities to network, meet employers and win a cash prize. CFA societies in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Louisville will each select and send up to 5 participants to the finals, held on September 19, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio.

Submission Guidelines
Who is eligible?
All undergraduate students in the Cleveland area with a graduation year of 2026 or later.
Develop your pitch
Pick any publicly traded equity security -- US or non-US
Pitches should be no more than 2 minutes
You may provide 2-5 pages of supplemental material
Record your pitch
Use any web-based app to record your pitch.
Your pitch must be 2 minutes or under.
Your pitch must be delivered intact, i.e., you may not cut or edit the recording.
Submit your pitch
Send a link to your recorded pitch, any supplemental materials (2-5 pages) and a bio to cfa@cleveland.cfasociety.org. Submissions must be received by April 30, 2025. Up to five finalists from the Cleveland area will be notified by May 20.
The Finals!
All finalists will have 2 minutes to pitch a stock live. They may include 2-5 pages of supplemental material. Each pitch will be followed by 10 minutes of Q&A from the judges.
Five finalists will be selected to pitch live one last time. They will be given up to 3 minutes to pitch in front of an audience, with 10 minutes of Q&A.

📌 Lauren Rich Fine is a Partner with Beatrice Advisors, an investment firm that provides high-quality financial services to historically unadvised and under-advised individuals and families, designed around a vision to expand the demographics of wealth. Prior to her joining Beatrice Advisors, she was a senior client advisor at Gries Financial Partners and she spent nearly two decades at Merrill Lynch as a Managing Director in equity research.
