Review and Update your CWRU Directory Entry

Please take a moment and review/udpate your University directory entry.  While we have our own directory on the Mandel School website, many internal and external parties use the main external directory to find us.  Faculty and staff can update their information using the Human Capital Management (HCM) system.

  • Phone Number:  go to “Main Menu” → “Self Service” → “Personal Information” → “Personal Details”. From the left side menu, choose “Contact Details”. Pick the phone number with type “Business”, or if there is no “Business” number, use the “+” button to add a new one. Then save your changes.  Note: only the "business" number displays in the directory.
  • Campus Address:  go to “Main Menu” → “Self Service” → “Personal Information” → “CASE Directory Address”. Update your office address information and save your changes.

Changes will appear in the directory the following day after 8:00 AM.

International Education Week at CWRU

Students, faculty and staff are invited to two events taking place at the Mandel School in celebration of International Education Week - November 18 through 22, 2019.

  • The Voices of Immigration: Thriving Beyond Borders (Tuesday, November 19 at 5 p.m., Noble Commons) a panel session featuring experts working in the field of immigration and migrant services in Cleveland, El Salvador, and India.  RSVP for dinner here.
  • Mental Health Considerations for Cross-Cultural Exchanges (Thursday, November 21 at 12:30 p.m., Mandel Center 105) a presentation by Yuwei Zhang, a current student at the Mandel School, who will share valuable information about the mental health of our students.  RSVP for lunch here.

Come join the conversation with fellow Change Agents who are making an impact in social work and communities around the world.  These events are free and all are welcome to attend.  These events are hosted by the Office of International Education and Affairs and LINK (Local InterNational Konnection) student group.  Please contact Valerie Rambin or Kim McFarlin for more information.

Upcoming Professional Development Opportunities

  • ÔÇïÔÇïÔÇïÔÇïÔÇïÔÇïCommunication Etiquette:  Workplace relationships influence our job satisfaction and success even more than our job skills.  Why?  Because effective communication is key to professional success.  Learn what communication etiquette really means, and why it's become so important.  Time/place: December 19, 2019, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., Biomedical Research Building 105.  Click here to register.
