🏡 Wellness in Your Dorm: Move, Stretch, Connect
Welcome to this week’s mini wellness guide! Staying active in a dorm or small space can be simple, fun, and community-building. This edition focuses on three themes: quick dorm-friendly workouts, mobility exercises to keep you loose and energized, and a new way to meet people while moving—walk-and-talk meetups. Let’s dive in!
Weekly Wellness Question
What’s the longest trail in the world?
The longest trail in the world, the Great Trail in Canada, is an astounding 14,912 miles (24,000 km) long, connecting coast to coast to coast.
Alternatively, hiking is known to improve your mental health by releasing endorphins, reducing stress, and even acting as "forest bathing" to lower blood pressure and heart rate.
Goal: 5–10 minutes daily to feel lighter and sharper.
Walk-and-Talk Meetups 🚶♂️🗣️
Movement feels better with friends. With your friends, start weekly “walk-and-talk” meetups—low-stress ways to connect while getting in some steps. These are perfect for:
Join walk clubs to meet new people without the pressure of formal events.
Breaking up long study days with a mental reset.
Pairing light activity with meaningful conversation.
