🧠 Wellness Wednesday: Midterm Focus Toolkit
Midterms are here — but so is your toolkit for success! This week’s Wellness Wednesday is all about staying sharp, balanced, and supported while you power through exams and papers. Whether you’re reworking your study flow, looking for the best quiet corners on campus, or just trying to keep your focus without burning out, we’ve got you covered.
📎 Call to Action:
👉 Plan out your study blocks, breaks, and self-care time through midterms!
Weekly Wellness Question
What’s one small habit that helps you stay focused when you start to feel overwhelmed?
Study smarter, not longer. Try the Pomodoro Technique — 25 minutes of focused work followed by a 5-minute break. After four rounds, take a 15-minute break. Use your breaks intentionally with our “Break Menu”: stretch, take a walk, refill your water, do a quick breathing exercise, or check in with a friend.
📚 Campus Study Spaces Spotlight
Need a change of scenery? Sometimes focus is all about location. Check out quiet study zones like the Library’s 4th-floor carrels, Kelvin Smith’s 2nd-floor silent section, or the cozy nooks at Tink or Coffee House. If you study best with a bit of buzz, grab your laptop and a drink at a nearby coffee spot.
🤝 Academic Support & Resources
Remember: midterms aren’t meant to be done alone. Case Western offers academic coaching, peer tutoring, and counseling resources to help you manage time, stress, and workload. Reach out early and often — success starts with support.
