Serving on the Diekhoff Committee

Hello! Before we lose everyone to the full force of the winter break (and record-breaking freezing temperatures!), we wanted to encourage y'all to serve on the Diekhoff Award Committee. For those of you who don't know, the John S. Diekhoff Award goes to four outstanding faculty members who have made outstanding contributions to the education of graduate students through advising, mentoring, and classroom teaching.

The School of Graduate Studies is asking for graduate students to help pick the 2023 Diekhoff Award winners by serving on their committee. If we don't have student representation from the College of Arts & Sciences on the committee, it is unlikely that we will be able to recognize the great graduate mentors in the College! If you are willing to serve on the committee, please fill out the Diekhoff Student Committee Application by Friday, January 6 at 5 PM Eastern. Any questions can be directed to diekhoff@case.edu.

By the way, if you haven't yet nominated a graduate student mentor for the award, you can still do so until Sunday, January 22! Click here for the teaching award nomination form or here for the mentoring award form.

Thank you everyone, and have a good holiday break!
