As part of National Suicide Prevention Month University Health & Counseling Services will be holding T.H.I.N.K. trainings throughout September.
T.H.I.N.K. is a suicide prevention training to help people recognize warning signs and assist others who may be having suicidal thoughts. This training is available to all CWRU students, faculty and staff. Zoom link for virtual sessions will be sent after registration.
Send Silence Packing is a visually striking exhibit that includes personal stories from people who have lost a loved one to suicide and is designed to connect individuals to mental health resources and inspire action for suicide prevention.
You're invited to walk among the Send Silence Packing backpacks to see the photographs and read the stories attached to them.

10 week workshop
Transitions to College is open to any student who is a first year, first semester student living on campus who finds themselves struggling with making the transition into living with unfamiliar people in an unfamiliar place. This group aims to offer peer support to members over a 10 week period while also offering some psychoeducational guidance for ways to make this life changing time a little easier.
Sessions will be held: Sept 13, 20, 27 Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25 Nov. 4, 11, 18

KORU Mindfulness
Thursday's, Sept. 9, 16, 23 & 30

Koru Mindfulness is a four session course that will teach you a wide variety of mindfulness skills in a group learning environment. These skills will help you incorporate mindfulness into your daily life so that you can experience the benefits of less stress, better sleep and improved self-compassion.

BIPOC Support Spaces are scheduled, 30 minute, 1:1, confidential Zoom or in-person consultations with Multicultural Specialist, Naomi Drakeford, Ph.D.

This is a skills based workshop designed to help you learn new coping strategies to manage stress and build resiliency during stressful times. Students will learn skills that will help combat anxious thoughts, manage emotions in healthier ways, improve self-care, and learn to communicate more effectively with others. This is a six week workshop, you will be automatically registered for all 3 sessions.
CWRU Care CWRU Care provides access to 24/7 mental health support- known as TalkNow- as well as Scheduled Counseling. Night and weekend appointments are available.
Through CWRU Care, students can talk to a licensed provider via smartphone or any web-enabled device.
