Subject: Service & Philanthropy Info + Mandatory Roundtable 2/13
Hi everyone,
I'm so excited to be your VPC Service & Philanthropy over the next year! I just wanted to send out some information and upcoming dates for all of you.
Office Hours: This semester, my office hours will be Thursdays 2-3:15pm in the Greek Life Office, so feel free to stop by if you have any questions, need help, are looking for advice, etc. If you’d like to meet with me but this time does not work, please reach out and we can schedule a different time.
Google Form: Please fill out this Google form when you get a chance so I can get an idea of service and philanthropy within your chapter and how we can set goals for the next year.
Individual Meetings: I will be holding one-on-one meetings with all the philanthropy chairs to get to know each other and discuss events for this semester. Use this link to add yourself to the spreadsheet and schedule a meeting. The meetings will be 1/29-2/6 so if you have a philanthropy event in this time frame, schedule the meeting before the event if possible. Please also fill out the Google form before the meeting. If none of the times work for you, please reach out to me and we will figure something out.
Mandatory Roundtable (2/13): The first roundtable of the semester will be on Thursday 2/13 at 5:30pm in Thwing 201. We will be having Potbelly’s catered! If you cannot make it, you must send a proxy as this event is mandatory.
Service Event: Letters From the Heart (2/20): I will be holding a service event open to all students (not just those in Greek life) on Thursday, February 20 at 5pm in Thwing 101 where we will be making cards for seniors in nursing homes through the program Letters Against Isolation (flier is attatched to this email). It will be a fun time with snacks and stickers, so please come and spread the word to your chapters and friends! It will count as a service hour to Greek Life members, extra credit for select classes, and I'm working to register it as Explore credit for first-year students.
Lastly, if you ever have a flier for a philanthropy event, send it either to me or Auden (akk87), our VPMC, to get it in the Greek Life newsletter! Sorry for the long email and I hope everyone has a great start to the semester. Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, etc!
Best,
Hazel Treumann
