I hope that you all are having a great break, and enjoyed some quality rest after midterms! Please see below for important Upperclass Experience (UCE) updates and information about upcoming programs/initiatives that are happening in the UCE, CWRU, and Cleveland communities!!

Fall Health & Safety Inspections:

Members of the Residence Life staff (RAs & ARCDs) will be conducting routine/scheduled inspections of all UCE rooms and apartments between Monday, October 15th and Friday, November 2. Your RA will be emailing you with detailed information about when these will take place for your building/floor, and what to expect with these inspections.

Preparing for Education Beyond (You Beyond CWRU): Thursday, October 25th, 6:00-7:30pm

The next installment in the You Beyond CWRU Series, "Preparing for Education Beyond," will be on Thursday, October 25th from 6-7:30 PM in the Village House 6 Great Room. There will be a panel of students in graduate programs, including the medical school, law school, Weatherhead, Masters of Engineering and Management, MSASS, and in the IGS program. There will also be free Bibibop and Chipotle for dinner! The program is a great opportunity to come with questions about the various application processes, preparing for graduate school, and what to expect and look forward to in those respective programs. We hope to see you there!

Wine Tasting - A Taste of Networking: Wednesday, November 7, 6:00-8:00pm

Come practice your networking skills and expand your wine palate with the Upperclass Experience and Post Graduate Planning and Experiential Education! Wine Tasting - A Taste of Networking will be Wednesday, November 7 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the House 4 Great Room.

The first 100 guests will receive free wine glasses!

If you would like to sample the wines, please remember to bring your driver's license or an official ID with your date of birth. Not 21? Not a Problem! There will be plenty of appetizers to snack on and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy.

CCEL Saturday of Service: Saturday, November 3:

The Center for Civic Engagement & Learning’s (CCEL) annual Fall Saturday of Service will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2018This day of service, organized in collaboration with Greek Life, features on-campus and off-campus service projects throughout the day. The Resident Assistant Application ARE NOW OPEN for any second year or uppperclass students who are interested in joining the team in Spring 2019!  If you are interested in the position, the RA Selection Committee encourages you to review the RA Recruitment website and attend one of our two Information Sessions for Spring applicants:
  • Wednesday, October 24th at 7:00-8:00pm, Fribley Fireside Lounge 
Attending an information session will give you all the details you need to know about what the position entails, where you could live, the students you would work with, and how to best prepare for the interview process. Applications for Spring 2019 are due Wednesday, October 31st at 5:00pm.  Any questions about the position or hiring process can also be directed to RA-Selection-Commitee@case.edu.
