Reminder: ISS is now part of the Visa & Immigration Services (VISA) office. We're located in Crawford, Suite 215.

 

The VISA Office is open 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday.  VISA Staff is available to students, without an appointment, on Monday, Thursday, and Friday during advising hours:

11am to 1pm- through virtual chat advising available online

1pm to 3pm- through in-person "drop-in" advising in the office

There are no advising hours on Wednesday.

Check In with the VISA office!

 

Students New to CWRU or Beginning a New Program at CWRU:

If you are new to CWRU or beginning a new program at CWRU this summer or fall semester, you need to check in online as part of the process to maintain your visa status.  Please note: change of educational level students and transfer students must also check-in with us!

To Check In:

If you will be on campus this semester to begin your program, please access the Instructions on How to Check In with ISS and complete the process. Please note that you:

  • check in online AFTER you arrive in the US with your valid I-20 or DS-2019.

  • can check in up to 30 days before the program start date listed on your I-20 or DS-2019

  • must check in by the start date listed on your I-20 or DS-2019
    If there is a delay, please notify us immediatelyÔÇïÔÇïÔÇïÔÇïÔÇïÔÇï
 

We cannot process any on-campus employment or Social Security Number paperwork until you have been checked in.

If you will not be coming to the United States this summer or fall, do not check in using the instructions above. It is critical that you complete the survey instead.  If you have not done so yet, please do so immediately.

For Graduate Students

For Graduate Students:

The Tea and Chocolate Club will host a tasting event for graduate students Tuesday, July 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., in the courtyard at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences.

Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a variety of teas from around the world (green, oolong and black), alongside a selection of chocolates ranging from 48 to 90% cocoa. As a summer special, with the support of the Office of Graduate Student Life, there also will be a variety of cold-brewed teas.

In the event of rain, the event will be held in the third-floor atrium of the Peter B. Lewis Building.

Asian Lantern Festival at the Cleveland Zoo!

View over a thousand lanterns at the Cleveland Zoo's Asian Lantern Festival.  Also enjoy live acrobatic performances and culturally inspired food.  It's a great way to enjoy a summer's evening.  The event is held Thursdays through Sundays starting at 6:30 pm, through August 27th.

Greek Festival!


The Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Church in Cleveland Heights is having their annual Greek Festival from July 27 - 30th.

There will be authentic Greek food, live music, and dancing!
