Water damage to your space or items

Chapter advisors: Share any and all concerns to keep them aware.
Off Campus Living
Students who live off-campus become part of our surrounding neighborhoods. These are neighborhoods filled with individuals and families who take great pride and care in their communities, just as you do in your family’s home away from Case Western Reserve University. The residents have children, jobs, responsibilities and, importantly, a right to feel secure and comfortable in and outside of their homes. We must honor that right and, quite simply, strive to be good, caring and respectful neighbors.
In recent months, the university has received a growing number of complaints and concerns from neighborhood residents regarding inconsiderate behavior by undergraduate students who live in off-campus housing. We have received multiple reports of loud music and parties, trash on lawns and rudeness when interacting with residents.
These reports are disappointing and do not reflect or uphold the values
of our campus community.
As Case Western Reserve students, you represent the university and are expected to behave accordingly. Further, the Student Code of Conduct applies to both on- and off-campus conduct. To that end, students who live in off-campus housing may face disciplinary action for violations that occur off-campus.
In particular, please note:
Effective immediately, if CWRU Police respond to a report of a noise violation, disorderly conduct or other disruptive behavior at an off-campus property rented by CWRU students, the offending student(s) will receive a warning. If the conduct persists and CWRU Police respond to the property a second time, the offending student(s) will be cited.
Students who are in violation of noise ordinances or other laws may be required to participate in community service or face other disciplinary action by the university, in addition to, or in lieu of, a citation.
Disability Resources Student Advisory Board
Good Day!
We are excited to announce that we are putting together a Student Advisory Board to work in collaboration with our office. The mission of the Student Advisory Board is to foster a more inclusive and accessible campus community by providing a structured platform for collaboration between students and the Disability Resources office.
If you are interested, please review the description and complete the application. Applications should be submitted to drforms@case.edu or you are welcome to drop them off to our office in Sears Building 402. If you have any questions regarding the description and/or application, please feel free to reach out!
If you or a student, faculty or staff member, or postdoc is/are interested in learning more about Title IX and serving as a panelist (decision-maker in a sexual harassment hearing) or advisor (trained support person), we invite you to join us for our upcoming Title IX Panel and Advisor Training on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
