Happy Spooky Season! I can't believe it is finally October. Hopefully, you all have started planning your Halloween costumes (enjoy this picture of baby sasicha getting extra spooky). A reminder that there is a New Member Orientation this Saturday that all new members should attend. Besides that, I hope you all are excited about all the fun events happening this week! Let's Taco Bout It

Lunch and Conversation for the CWRU Greek Life Community facilitated by the GLO. This month we will discuss officer transitions. Whether you are about to transition out of a position, considering running for a position, or just like tacos, you are welcome to come and join in the conversation.

All members of the Greek Community are invited. Lunch (tacos) will be provided. Please register by 8 AM on Wednesday, October 2. This allows adequate time to order enough food for all attendees.

The Academy

The Academy is a 2-day leadership development event that targets current and aspiring leaders in Greek Life.The Academy focuses on building key management and soft skills that are applicable in a wide range of positions. The Academy takes place on Friday Oct. 11th 4-8 PM & Saturday Oct. 12th 9-5 PM

Trunk or Treat!

This year we are continuing our collaboration with the Music Settlement to bring joy to our community. The event will be held on Friday October 18th, from 5pm-7pm. There will be food, giveaways, and music! We will use the same location as we have in the past, in the parking lot across from The Music Settlement. All in the community are welcome to this event!! If you like to decorate your vehicle for the event, please click on the link below and fill out the form. You also have the option to just bring a table to decorate. We ask that you bring some candy to pass out, as the School children, and/or community members attend our event. The link for our Campus groups posting is also attached below. Saturday of Service

The Center for Civic Engagement & Learning is hosting Saturday of Service this fall on National Make a Difference Day - Saturday, October 26, 2024 - and we are giving you first dibs on group adoption of projects before we open registration to the entire campus.

The form for group adoption submissions is now open and will close at 11:59 pm on Monday, October 7. We hope this will give you enough time to work with your chapters to determine what opportunities will work best for you.

Once you have decided which projects may work best for your chapters, complete this survey to express your interest: https://cglink.me/2cS/s95019. We'll ask you to select your top three projects so we can have backup options available for assigning projects. We'll also ask you to identify a day-of Site Leader for this volunteer activity, and that person will need to attend a mandatory training.

Once you've completed the form, start working with your chapters to recruit volunteers. Chapter members should sign up in Campus Groups with a link I will provide you once your project has been assigned. All volunteers will need to be registered by Thursday, October 24.

Greek Life New Member Orientation

This mandatory orientation for all new members of CWRU fraternities and sororities will be held in Eldred Hall on Saturday, October 5th from 9 AM until 2 PM. It will include required Office of Equity and Upstander trainings as well as other important information for new members. Please register in Campus Groups by 11 PM on Wednesday, October 2nd.

Lunch will be provided. If you have any dietary restrictions, please email the Greek Life Office at greeklife@case.edu no later than Wednesday, October 2nd.
