About Us
The Student-Run Free Clinic is an inter-professional student organization founded and operated by students from the CWRU School of Medicine, Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, and Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. Our organization operates a free, bi-monthly, acute-care medical clinic that is staffed and operated entirely by CWRU graduate students and volunteer practitioners. The clinic, which is housed within the facilities of the Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland, provides free health-care and counseling to underserved populations within the Cleveland community, while fostering unique collaborative, teaching, and learning experiences between future medical professionals. Additionally, the SRFC operates a wide range of outreach activities, including as a sex education collaboration with the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center.
