Healthy cultures are the result of attitudes and behaviors that promote universal well-being, not a result of well-intended but singularly-focused programs concerning hazing, substance use, and sexual violence. Using research from social emotional learning, wellness, restorative practices, and more, this session introduces the Culture of Care core tenets and assets created by Case Western Reserve University's Office of Greek Life and Refined Character and highlights how the framework is used to promote care-centered skill development in members and advisors. In addition, participants will be given the opportunity to practice a coaching model based on Richard Boyatzis' Coaching for Compassion, a care-centered strategy linked to healthy relationships between members and advisors.

Speakers:
Amie Jackson, Associate Director of Greek Life;
Mel Dickey, Manager of Culture of Care, Office of Greek Life
