Model United Nations is a competitive intercollegiate foreign and public affairs activity that seeks to develop delegates' skills with public speaking, diplomatic compromise, resolution writing, group leadership, and the accurate representation of a nation's foreign policies while fostering a greater understanding of how the United Nations works, the cultural, political, and economic backgrounds of other nations, and the foreign affairs community in general.
Model United Nations provides members with the opportunity to travel and compete at other colleges' conferences. At conferences, team members develop public speaking, collaboration, and negotiation skills. Members of CWRUMUN's home team get the opportunity to work with high school students and help them learn about international affairs. Members of both teams build valuable and meaningful relationships with team members.
CWRUMUN meets every Wednesday from 7-8pm in the Senior Classrooms located in TVUC
The travel team is responsible for representing CWRUMUN on the national MUN circuit. All members have the opportunity to travel to compete!
The home team is responsible to hosting 1 conference per semester, each drawing 500+ participants. Training and food are provided!
