Hi there, 

Last week Mandel students, staff and faculty welcomed new students to campus for orientation, and next week is CHAI! Whether you're an incoming student, had class all summer long, or are returning from break, we hope you had a great summer and are excited to see you!

As we get ready for the start of the new year, we hope you'll join us at one (or many) of the upcoming events Mandel Council has organized.

Volunteer at the Student Run Health Clinic

Applications Due Sept. 1, 2023

The Student Run Health Clinic is looking for volunteers, new and old! SRHC is a free clinic run by CWRU graduate students available to any person with or without insurance. The clinic is typically open 2 Saturdays per month at Neighborhood Family Practice from 7:30am-3pm. At SRHC social work students assess patient needs and provide resources. To learn more, or get involved with SRHC apply here!

Social Work Wednesday

Come connect with social workers and network at Social Work Wednesday, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Prosperity Social Club, outside on the patio if weather permits. This event is hosted by Steph Ash, Region 3 (Cuyahoga County) Director of the Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.

Free appetizers will be available while supplies last. Social Work Wednesdays are held on the last Wednesday of each month, so consider attending at least once this semester!
