Come join your college friends for a tasty night of soup and fellowship. On the first Tuesday evening of the month, you can catch a ride at the church to the home of Susan Warner Taylor. There, we will gather around her table for a different kind of soup each month. This will be followed by a time of sharing and learning more about how to move closer to God. We will be reading the book: The Emmanuel Promise: Discovering the Security of a Life Held by God by Summer Joy Gross. The book addresses the following issues: How do we root in God's nearness in the ordinary moments so we can rest in God in the middle of life's hurricanes? Through understanding spiritual formation through the lens of attachment theory, we begin to awaken to God's loving presence using simple sensory and contemplative tools.
