Applied R&D Investigate and improve existing biodesign materials such as bioplastics, bioleather, and mycelium composites. Our focus includes optimizing fabrication methods and enhancing material properties. Fabrication and Testing Engage in hands-on synthesis of biomaterials using safe, small-scale lab protocols. Members will gain experience producing, handling, and mechanically and chemically testing materials for strength, flexibility, biodegradability, and more. Technical Implementation Explore the potential of biodesigned materials in diverse fields, including biomedical engineering, sustainable packaging, art, and structural design. Emphasis will be placed on functional integration and assessing feasibility for scale-up.
