About Us
The Graduate Materials Society (GMS) is an umbrella organization for Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) student chapters of The American Ceramic Society (ACerS); The American Foundry Society (AFS); ASM International (ASM); The Materials Research Society (MRS); and The Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society (TMS). GMS exists to promote, among our members, a self-sought increasing knowledge of materials science and engineering and all its branches, and to provide a liaison between our members and the professional materials science and engineering industry. In addition, GMS provides activities for members to promote camaraderie and enjoy the greater Cleveland area.
