The ILS is a student organization interested in international law and world affairs. As one of the largest student organizations on campus, the ILS provides many unique opportunities for its members by planning both social and academic activities. As a chapter of the International Law Student Association, a national organization, the ILS lets students know of international legal events going on around the globe. A forum for students to discuss and learn more about international issues. We cosponsor visiting foreign lecturers with the Frederick K. Cox International Law Center. In previous years, the ILS has hosted several student led discussions and movie nights on controversial international topics. Networking. ILS members attend luncheons with the Greater Cleveland International Lawyers Group (GCILG), one of the largest groups of lawyers in the country with an international focus. The ILS sponsors a number of social events including Festivus, a multi-cultural food celebration, and an International Beer Tasting. At these two main social events, the ILS raises money for organizations including Doctors Without Borders, Hearts for Haiti, International AIDS week and the Invisible Children last year!
