 ⋆ UDC's Under One Sky: 2026 World Expo ⋆
World Expo is UDC’s annual fall flagship event where all UDC member organizations highlight their clubs. Each participating organization has a booth with an activity or cuisine that showcases their culture/identity!

WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 20, 5-8 PM
WHERE: Thwing Ballroom

We are very excited to bring back our World Expo and showcase our member organizations to the CWRU community!

Please register for the event here!

There will be free food, entertainment, raffle prizes, and FREE T-SHIRTS with this year's World Expo logo. First come, first serve!

All UDC member organizations are required to table at the World Expo. Check-in will begin at 4:40 PM.

If your organization is interested in performing at the event or you have ideas for the World Expo, please reach out to Seema Casey, our VP of Programming, through udc-exec@case.edu.

DLR #1 - Orientation, Elections, + Treasurer Workshop

Please see the link below for the slides that we went over during the DLR. It has helpful information on understanding what UDC is and includes information on how UDC finance works.

CDEP Information

The CDEP card application for the fall semester is currently open! Apply using the link below. DUE DATE: September 14

The CDEP Increase form, which adds funds from group funds, approved rolling funds, or Spring Mass rolling funds, is also available here:
 

Please note these links are different from last year as the forms have been moved to be under CampusGroups Finance!

P card Information

The OMA P card has switched to an appointment only system. 

Schedule an appointment to use the OMA P Card with Mariah Salloum here. It is recommended that you schedule these appointments 5-10 days in advance of the day that you need the items. 

If none of the appointment times fit in your schedule, please schedule an appointment to use Rachel Stegemann's P card here. You can also use Todd Rasmussen's P card.

Constitution Updates

The Constitution Template is now available for organizations to review. Please carefully transfer your current constitution into the new format.

Some sections are required, while others are optional. If you have policies or procedures that do not fit within the template, you may include them in additional bylaws or procedure documents that can be made available to members through CampusGroups.

The deadline for all organizations to submit their updated constitutions is October 29.

The updated constitution will be converted to a PDF and uploaded to the Constitution section of your organization’s CampusGroups page after submission.

If you have technical issues filling out the constitution template, email your group name and a description of the problem to campusgroups@case.edu.

PLEASE make sure you fill out this form below by Saturday at 5:00 PM! The Global Gazette newsletter is sent out WEEKLY on SUNDAYS!

Every UDC organization MUST have a member in at least one of these UDC committees. Members are allowed to be in multiple committees if they so choose.

Advocacy Action Prep Event

Join Little Lights Cleveland and Partners in Health Engage this Thursday, September 17th from 5:30-6:30pm in Thwing 101 as we collaborate for an advocacy workshop! As Infant Vitality Advocacy Day approaches, we will be discussing how to meet with legislators, discuss policies, and learn more about infant mortality internationally and how to help on a global level. There will also be free Chick-Fil-a!

Ovarian and Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month GB
WHEN: Wednesday Sept. 16, 7-8PM

Join PPGen and AMSA to learn about the five types of gynecologic cancers in honor of Ovarian and Gynecologic Cancer Awareness month. Play Kahoot for the chance to win a nature LEGO set! Catering Agostino's pasta and sandwiches.

2026 Inamori Ethics Prize

It is our goal to fill the Thwing Center Ballroom and demonstrate our collective support for Frank Mugisha and human rights, especially LGBTQIA+ advocacy.
 
Our event is free and open to the public. There will be food/refreshments, live music by OPUS 216, t-shirts/stickers for registered guests, and parking vouchers for off-campus guests.

One Art One Community Curation Trip Invitation

This October, Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) will host the second annual One Art One Community exhibition featuring visual art created by artists currently incarcerated in Ohio prisons. Held at CWRU’s Wade Park Community Engagement Center, the show brings together residents of four Ohio Correctional & Rehabilitation facilities, CWRU students, faculty, and staff, and community stakeholders to foster mutual respect and understanding. Curated in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, One Art One Community focuses on social justice and celebrates the humanity of all people through creative expression.

Invitation to curate: One of the project’s key objectives is to give students valuable opportunities to gain experience in community engagement and curation. This year, we are opening our curation trips to regional correctional facilities to CWRU undergraduate and graduate students interested in art history, museum studies, public humanities, and/or community engagement through the arts. Students are invited to attend a curation trip to Grafton Correctional Institute/Grafton Reintegration Center & Lorain Correctional Institute on Friday, September 25, 9:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

Co-curation credit: Students who attend the curation trip to Grafton Correctional Institute/Grafton Reintegration Center & Lorain Correctional Institute on Friday, September 25 will receive co-curation credit for the exhibition. In addition to providing curation and community engagement experience, this credit will make an excellent addition to students’ CVs and resumes.

The Undergraduate Diversity Collaborative (UDC) World Expo Event is an annual flagship event celebrating cultural diversity, inclusion, and the many international and identity-based student organizations on campus. Dozens of student groups host interactive booths, display accomplishments, and share traditions. Attendees can sample authentic international foods, collect souvenirs, and take part in cultural activities. The event will also feature live entertainment and dance performances by various student groups. UDC's World Expo serves as one of the largest campus-wide celebrations dedicated wholly to multicultural awareness and student organization engagement outside the classroom. Register now; you don't want to miss it!
