Manufacturing Operations Intern

The Manufacturing Operations Intern will support the Operations team in executing key operational and strategic initiatives within the business unit. This role provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing operations, production planning, and business performance management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position will assist with analyzing operational data, supporting execution of the manufacturing build plan, and contributing to projects focused on improving the quality, delivery performance, and productivity of Schneller’s products and processes. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams across operations, production planning, engineering, quality, and commercial functions to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives that drive customer satisfaction and business performance.

xLab pairs a multi-disciplinary team of students together with an external client for real world digital innovation projects focused on responsible and ethical technology. Our project teams use the latest design and development tools as they work directly with the client throughout the semester. The course, BTEC 400, is STEM approved for business students.

SASS 500: Managing Nonprofits for Resilience

Classes will entail a mix of learning modes including lecture, discussion, guest speakers, case studies, and student presentations and exercises.  Readings and lectures are assigned in advance, and students are expected to study them before each class.  Students will learn why it is important for a nonprofit organization to build resilience, the concepts of organizational slack and organizational learning that underwrite resilience, and management strategies that can be engaged to build resilience and allow nonprofit organizations to prepare for and navigate crises.

Our students are conducting a research survey about home safety technology and customer preferences. We’re looking for homeowners and renters (18+) to share their perspectives on topics like privacy, safety insights from smart home technology, and insurance incentives.
