If you are part of a UDC organization, please read all the crucial UDC updates below!
DLR #4 - Mass Funding
Thank you to everyone who attended the DLR!
Mass Funding is due Friday, November 13, 11:59 PM.
DLR Make-Up Policy:
If you miss one without excusal given prior, you have the opportunity to make it up by volunteering within the community.
Two representatives will have to volunteer and send in documentation/photos stating that they have done some sort of volunteering that UDC exec has approved, so we can excuse the absence.
Only one absence can be excused through volunteering. After that, there are financial consequences. Failure to communicate with UDC Exec about an absence or seek an excusal, including after the event, will result in the applicable financial consequences.
DLR Make-up Attendance is due November 4th, 11:59 PM. See the document linked below for more details.
The Constitution Template is now available for organizations to review. Please carefully transfer your current constitution into the new format.
Some sections are required, while others are optional. If you have policies or procedures that do not fit within the template, you may include them in additional bylaws or procedure documents that can be made available to members through CampusGroups.
The deadline for all organizations to submit their updated constitutions is October 29.
The updated constitution will be converted to a PDF and uploaded to the Constitution section of your organization’s CampusGroups page after submission.
If you have technical issues filling out the constitution template, email your group name and a description of the problem to campusgroups@case.edu.

Campus & Student Safety Grant
The Campus & Student Safety Grantis intended to support CWRU-sanctioned student organizations with identified safety or security needs, with priority given to organizations that are at increased risk of violent crime, terror attacks, hate crimes, or harassment.
Applicants should be able to identify a specific safety concern, threat, risk, or vulnerability affecting their organization, members, activities, events, or affiliated community and explain how the proposed project will mitigate that risk or improve student safety.
Simply being a CWRU-sanctioned student organization does not, by itself, establish a need for grant funding. Funding decisions will prioritize proposals that demonstrate an identified safety or security need and a clear connection between that need and the proposed project.
This prioritization closely reflects CWRU's Award Agreement, which requires the University's process to prioritize security needs from institutionally sanctioned student organizations at increased risk for violent crime, terror attacks, hate crimes, or harassment. ODHE's guidance similarly states that institutions are expected to prioritize organizations demonstrating increased threats in these areas.
Ready to Apply?
Organizations should be prepared to answer three fundamental questions:
What is the safety or security risk?
Why does it affect your organization or affiliated community?
How will your proposed project reduce that risk or improve student safety?
If your organization can clearly answer these questions, we encourage you to apply.
Complete the Campus & Student Safety Grant Application through Campus Groups.
Before submitting, applicants should discuss the proposal with their organization's leadership and faculty/staff advisor and ensure that the proposed budget and project scope are complete and realistic.
Questions regarding the grant application or whether a proposed project, program, equipment, resource, or expense may qualify for funding may be directed to the CWRU Division of Public Safety, publicsafety@case.edu.
