Every UDC organization MUST have a member in at least one of these UDC committees. Members are allowed to be in multiple committees if they so choose. Learn more about our committees below:

"Finance committee is responsible for the review and approval of co-sponsorship and rolling funding requests made by student organizations. Members are expected to attend weekly in-person meetings and actively contribute to the process of decision-making. Only one member per organization may apply for finance committee. Selection will be done through interviews to be scheduled after the form has been filled out."

"Climate change disproportionately affects economically disadvantaged and underrepresented communities and countries around the world; this committee will focus on awareness and preparedness of our students for a more drastic inevitability of climate change both in the world and in the workforce.
The committee will shift to a more action-oriented approach with a heavy focus on educational amendment across various fields (medicine, engineering, business, arts, etc.)"
What will you do? Have the opportunity for your own projects in the area as well as larger-scale group project-involvement. This committee will require some effort and work throughout the week; please take this into consideration before joining
Goal: show that climate action is non-negotiable, is important to us, and that we need to be prepared for it

Help new clubs get recognized by supporting them through the application & New Org Rec Process
Run workshops to assist groups with policy updates, technical structure, and leadership transitions if necessary

✰⋆｡ UDC Table Talks Committee ｡⋆✰
"This year, the External Affairs Committee will meet through UDC Table Talks. My hope is that clubs can really get to know each other and have a space to talk openly about what they’re working on. Over some food and conversation, we can learn more about what each organization has going on and see where connections or opportunities to work together might naturally come up.
I also want Table Talks to be a place where clubs can bring ideas they’re trying to move forward. If your organization wants to connect with a faculty member, administrator, or campus office and you’re not sure where to start, bring it to the table. We can talk it through and work toward a practical next step.
We’ll also use this space to think about how our organizations can build stronger relationships with the Cleveland community and find meaningful ways to get involved beyond campus.
More than anything, I want this committee to feel useful and welcoming. Come with an idea, a question, or something your club is trying to figure out. My hope is that you leave with a new connection and a clearer idea of where to go next. I’d really love to have your organization represented at the table this year!"

⋆ UDC's World Expo ⋆
World Expo is UDC’s annual fall flagship event where all UDC member organizations highlight their clubs. Each participating organization has a booth with an activity or cuisine that showcases their culture/identity!
We are very excited to bring back our World Expo and showcase our member organizations to the Case Western Reserve University community!
All UDC member organizations are required to table at the World Expo.
We are looking to include 2-3 performances!

Join PPGEN@CWRU and Preterm to participate in an interactive experience that showcases the wide variety of factors that impact people’s lives everyday while they try to access vital healthcare resources. This simulation is a wonderful opportunity for pre-med and medical students to gain an understanding of patients they will be interacting with across their professional career, and to deepen their empathy for their practice.

Get Paid to Help at CWRU Homecoming!
"We're looking for student groups who would be interested in assisting with Homecoming — including helping place signage and set up decorations before the weekend, staffing check-in tables, transporting materials between events, greeting guests, and helping with events like the Spartan Tailgate — during Homecoming weekend, October 8–11, 2026.
We would love to partner with student organizations and find a way for your group to be involved that works well for you. This is a compensated opportunity: students are expected to work a minimum of 10 hours (up to 15 hours total) across the Homecoming period and will receive a one-time payment of $500.
Event Details:
Date: October 8–11, 2026 (Homecoming Weekend); set-up/tear-down help also needed October 6–12
Time: 10–15 hours total across the employment period
Location: Various locations across CWRU's campus
What we're looking for: Service-oriented students who are proactive problem solvers, comfortable working independently, and able to communicate professionally. A valid driver's license (for golf cart use) is preferred, and students should be able to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
Compensation: $500 one-time payment
No previous experience is necessary — we'll provide any information and guidance you need, including a required pre-Homecoming training shift!

2026 Inamori Ethics Prize
It is our goal to fill the Thwing Center Ballroom and demonstrate our collective support for Frank Mugisha and human rights, especially LGBTQIA+ advocacy.
Our event is free and open to the public. There will be food/refreshments, live music by OPUS 216, t-shirts/stickers for registered guests, and parking vouchers for off-campus guests.
